My uncle lived in what our family knew as the fickle weather zone. He could never figure out when the season would change during the course of a day.
It would fluctuate from being warm and friendly one moment
to cold and frosty the next.
My aunt was a stunning lady and yet her moods changed in a
flash. My uncle once reminisced that as
soon as he felt the change he took immediate precautions when the fragrance of
a rose give way to a prickly thorny bush.
He never left her. Weathering all storms with love, trust,
and medication.

That was enjoyable to read - especially the final line!

Thank you Susan I am glad you liked it.
DeleteHope the concert was amazing! This describes the actual weather where I am, fortunately not my aunt!
ReplyDeleteThanks Iain. The concert was better than amazing. It's summer where I am :-)
DeleteHats off to your uncle! By the way, which of them got the medication?🙄
ReplyDeleteThanks Christine, I am happy my fictional uncle was likeable. My fictional aunty was the one under medication. ;-)
DeleteDear Subroto,
ReplyDeleteLove the metaphor in this piece. True love weathers all storms, doesn't it? Well done.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Thanks Rochelle, I think you got I was aiming for in the story.
DeleteI do love the thought of having love being able to overcome the ice...
ReplyDeleteAnd medication too. Thanks for reading and commenting Björn.
DeleteNice one, Subroto. I love how true love helps one weather all sorts of storms - when one bothers to try...
ReplyDeleteIt does indeed. Thanks Dale for your comments and the photograph for this week's prompt.
DeleteI really appreciate your professional approach. These are pieces of very useful information that will be of great use for me in future.
