The Journey of Life

PHOTO PROMPT © The Reclining Gentleman

Sometimes the journey of a thousand miles can have no ending.  At other times a walk around the block can lead you home.

When I started this trip I had no idea what road I’d take.  Would I have the Poet‘s regret for the road not taken or would I bask in glow of my judgements?

A milestone birthday gone this year but I am still looking for answers in the misty morning haze.

Each day we struggle, stumble and fall.  But it is still worth it with someone at your side to help you navigate the tricky road ahead.

  1. I think it's the company that make all the difference, and maybe that is more the road than the road itself.

    1. You are right Björn the company makes all the difference. And as you say sometimes negotiating that that can be a separate journey in itself :-)

  3. It's easier and more fun if there is someone who helps to navigate, and also more comforting. Interesting thoughts, very true.

  6. Your 1st two lines grabbed me immediately. A wonderful way to begin a thought provoking vignette. A significant age can bring us to ponder about our lives.
Very enjoyable read ... well done.

    1. The journey word has been overdone by reality TV but I think it still works for our lives overall :-) Thanks for your comments Suzanne.

  8. From the title on I loved your piece. Certainly the journey of life is something that we can all relate to and you have given a few insights. Certainly having that someone by your side is a big plus.
