Silence

PHOTO PROMPT © Jan Wayne Fields

Sometimes trapped in crowded spaces
Amidst of people who stand and chatter
I find myself slowly drifting away in stages
For I know my physical presence only matters.

My spirit moves to a different place
It soars far away like an eagle in the sky
Blown by the wastrel wind at a furious pace
I cast my eye to natures’ beauty as I fly.

The song of the trees as they rustle
The vastness of the plains I see it whole
Come to me it whispers and leave this tussle

I hear thee well, the silence of my soul.

Beautiful, the soul soaring away from it's earthly binding. I think we can all related to drifting off at times, but you made it something to strive for.
