The moment she walked in to the room was when she realised there had been a mistake. Firstly she was overdressed for the occasion; secondly this did not even remotely look like the function she was supposed to be attending and lastly everyone was staring at her.
A dapper old man headed in her direction.
“What a great idea to come to the opening of the Ballroom Bar
dressed like a dancer.”
Cinderella wished fairy godmother had ordered an Uber
instead of turning those incompetent mice into a ride. They probably couldn’t find their way out of
a maze.

Written for Friday Fictioneers Word Count : 100.
I am in middle of school holidays and travel, so I have ended up missing last week's episode of the Fictioneers. Thankfully I have managed to put one in today and returned to a theme that I have frequently explored - fractured fairy tales.
The other thing that I am attempting this month is the AtoZ Challenge. I have decided to challenge myself and use 'Poetry' as my theme. I am behind by a few days but I hope to catch up. Soon. Or so I think ;-)
